About Us
Fadia Wardeh Albanna founded Montrose Cigar-Wine Aficionado nearly 30 years ago, following a lifelong passion for wines and cigars that began on the family farm back in the old country. She grew up helping her beloved grandfather make wines and some of her most cherished memories are of her big family sitting around the dining table “making salut” with their own wines. To Fadia, life is about celebration. Wine and cigars are ways to mark—and savor—those celebrations.
A hands-on owner, Fadia has made trips to personally vet all of their wine and cigar suppliers, from the far reaches of Nicaragua to France and Italy. She’s met the workers who role the cigars and ferment the grapes.
And her relationships with longstanding customers are just as authentic. Fadia finds joy spending time educating people about the finer nuances between varieties of cigars and wines.
Her warm and friendly staff consists of mostly retired people who also get to know customers lives and share their stories.

Fresh from the fields of Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, you’ll find every type of hand-rolled cigar from A to Z, or Arturo to Zino.
Owner Fadia Wardeh Albanna has personally visited the farms, met the owners and workers, and witnessed the intricate growing, harvesting and rolling practices that account for fine cigars. Over the years, she says the experiences have touched her heart, and that they have come to feel like family. Not only do these farms thrive in the ideal climate conditions to grow tobacco, but their processes to capture and conserve rainwater to use for watering make the final product that much purer, smoother and more full-bodied.
They help people celebrate special occasions, birthdays, graduations, births, as well as make the most of every day.
In addition to cigars, the shop offers a wide variety of any accessory needed to enjoy them, including humidors and travel humidors, cases, cutters, ashtrays and even magazines. As a full-service smoke shop, you’ll also find a selection of loose tobacco, electronic cigarettes, imported cigarettes and Hookahs.
Wine, Champagne, Beer
From an $8 bottle of wine to an opus that costs more than $500, you’ll find every type of wine and champagne, as well as beer. All the important wine regions and vineyards in Europe, South America and the United States are represented.
Owner Fadia Wardeh Albanna is an oenophile and world traveler who brings back the best discoveries from her destinations. She invites customers to make requests and enjoys bringing in new wines.
Broad-based knowledge of how vintages are made and the “terroir” of the land they were grown in leads to a deeper understanding and appreciation. To meet people’s dietary preferences, the shop offers kosher and organic wines, too.
